Hitaltech are pleased to announce that the innovative DIN Rail mounting enclosure ‘The Railbox Compact’ is now available to purchase from RS Components.

The ‘Railbox’ is a DIN Rail mounting case offering design engineers a stylish and innovative enclosure solution. This electronic enclosure is ideal for applications where space on the DIN Rail is at a premium and is well suited to the industrial control, energy metering and signal conditioning markets.

The Railbox Compact is a lower profile version of the standard DIN rail mounting Railbox product with a height of 79mm (compared to the standard Railbox height of 120mm).

Like the standard Railbox the PCB can be mounted in the base of the Railbox Compact without the need for screws. This DIN Rail mounting enclosure also allows for Hitaltech’s plug-in connectors to be used on each side of the plastic enclosure (10 poles per side on 5.00/5.08mm pitch).

The Railbox Compact, manufactured in Italy by Hitaltech’s partner Italtronic, is designed for mounting on a DIN EN50022 Rail, with the PCB sitting vertically and therefore saving space on the DIN Rail. This DIN Rail mounting enclosure is available in Black, Grey or Green as standard and is moulded from a material that conforms to the flame retardant requirement of UL94-V0.
There are four standard sizes available: 17.5mm, 22.5mm, 35mm and 45mm.

Custom options when purchased directly from Hitaltech include; cost effective printing and/or machining of the enclosure (MOQ from 50 pieces) as well as the option to mould the enclosure to a specific RAL number (MOQs apply).

At Hitaltech we work closely with our distributors aiming to offer products which suit their target markets as well as strengthening their product portfolio. The excellent fit between Hitaltech and RS Components has allowed Hitaltech to reach potential customers which were previously unaddressed.
The Railbox Compact offers end users an innovative enclosure solution and we are pleased to be able to offer this range through RS components.” explains Hitaltech ‘s Marketing Manager, Tara Fisher.
